Il cifrario Shakespeare-Bacon
Shakspere-Bacon’s Cipher
I doubt it not—then more, far more;
In each old song bequeath’d—in every noble page or text,
(Different—something unreck’d before—some unsuspected author,)
In every object, mountain, tree, and star—in every birth and life,
As part of each—evolv’d from each—meaning, behind the ostent,
A mystic cipher waits infolded.
Non ne dubito, anzi di più, molto di più;
in ogni antico canto lasciato in eredità, in ogni nobile pagina o testo,
(diverso, qualcosa prima ignorato, qualche autore insospettato,)
in ogni oggetto, montagna, albero e stella, in ogni nascita e vita,
come parte di ciascuno, evoluto da ciascuno, significato, dietro l’apparenza,
un cifrario mistico attende racchiuso.
