Una promessa alla California
A Promise to California
A promise to California,
Or inland to the great pastoral Plains, and on to Puget sound and Oregon;
Sojourning east a while longer, soon I travel toward you, to remain, to teach robust American love,
For I know very well that I and robust love belong among you, inland, and along the Western sea;
For these States tend inland and toward the Western sea, and I will also.
Una promessa alla California,
o all’interno, alle grandi Pianure pastorali, e oltre fino al Puget Sound e all’Oregon;
trattenendomi a est ancora un poco, presto viaggerò verso di voi, per restare, per insegnare il robusto amore americano,
perché so benissimo che io e l’amore robusto apparteniamo a voi, all’interno, e lungo il mare dell’Ovest;
perché questi Stati tendono verso l’interno e verso il mare dell’Ovest, e così farò anch’io.
